Valentine's Day sale at a flower market in Islamabad
Vendors selling flowers and balloons on Valentine’s Day in Islamabad. Like rest of the world, Valentine’s Day is also celebrated in Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Though not approved by Muslim clerics, young people actively indulge in exchanging Valentine’s Day gifts to express their love.

Critics see V Day celebrations contrary to their cultural values and religion. But popular television channels scroll love messages throughout the day and broadcast special reports.
